For the third time in seven decades, the future of the North Pond Casting Pier is in jeopardy due to local redevelopment interests and organizations operating without an understanding or appreciation for the importance of the pier to the Chicagoland angling community and its iconic place in American angling history.

This web site was created to increase public awareness of the North Pond Casting Pier and encourage all who use and value the pier on a regular basis (casters, birders, nature lovers, photographers and many others) to voice their concerns that this vital community asset be protected and preserved for generations to come.
